Mekong Delta Photos

All these shots were taken at a brick factory on the Mekong Delta. It was sort of like bamboo hut-like and they had kilns that they made out of bricks that they obviously fired someplace else.

"Not Quite Cemented"

"Fresh Nature Bricks"

"Fire Fan"

This last one is a picture of the fire inside one of the kilns. I took a picture of it because it was the only light in the hut and the hut was dark.

Light Scribble II

Here are the next shots I took. I've sorta forgotten how to do a blog since I haven't done one in so long. My dad is helping me type this but I'm the one who's making up the words and deciding which pictures I'll put down. I hope to make more Light Scribble pictures but it is hard to find opportunities. It has to be night and there have to be lots of neon lights. Maybe at TET I'll be able to get some more.

This one is called "Math Claws" because it has numbers and the lights that are not numbers look like claws. I took it in a taxi ride.
 "Math Claws"

I took this one with lights that were on the ground. This one is called Laser Archers because it looks like a bunch of arrows. I like this picture because the "laser arrows" are burning at the tips.
"Laser Archers"

I took this picture in the same place as Laser Archers. The lights were on the ground. I shook the camera in tiny, little circles at an angle. I like it because there are lots of different colored lights that look good together.

Light Scribble

Light Scribble is where you zoom in all the way as much as you can go without doing a digital zoom and then you turn the flash off. It has to be dark. Very dark. Then you aim the camera at a light, shake the camera and click the shutter while you're shaking.

I got this idea quite on accident. I was in a taxi cab with my friend, Joshua and we were taking close up pictures of our eyes. It was bumpy in the cab and I decided to take a picture out the front of the dashboard. Instead I got a picture of the meter. Since it was so bumpy, it shook the camera and created a really cool photo.

I'm going to post some of the other ones I have done. Enjoy.

Trevor

"Hooks"
This one happened when I was trying to do a Light Scribble with some lights on the ground. It was one of those cords with lights inside it. So the lights were in a really straight line.

"Frozen Fire"
I took this one by having some white lights in front and some red lights in back.
I shook the camera and they mixed together. I like this one 'cause it looks like rain.

"Number Storm"
This is one of the first pictures I took in that taxi I was telling you about.
It's the picture of the taxi meter (we were at 40.000 vnd at that point!).

"Neon Wheels"
We were buying a bahn mi sandwich last night and this is a picture of their store sign.
I shook it up, clicked the shutter and you know the rest.

 "Electric Hair"
I call this one Electric Hair because it looks like, well, electric hair. I forgot where I took this one.

"Raining Ice"
I took this picture when we were just coming into a little carnival. It was at night of course and there was this huge styrofoam Santa thing that looked like a house that you had to go under to get to the carnival. There were blue lights covering it. There wasn't a single place there wasn't a blue light. It hurt my eyes so I decided to look at it through the camera lens. It still hurts your eyes a bit, but it's better.

I was quite restrained by showing you just these pictures. Next blog post I'll try to show more. Thank you for looking.

Hawaii!

The first picture is of of a gecko we saw in Hawaii and it was fun seeing lots of the geckos in a garden we went to. That was when we stayed in Uncle Graham's house.

The next picture is of my brother and my Uncle Graham fighting with bamboo. I was there too but you can't see me. Uncle Graham broke all of my bamboo swords. Well, most of them. I tried one that was a little bit shorter and it didn't break. It was as strong as his I guess. I wish I could go back to Hawaii and do that again.

The last picture is me boogie boarding in Hawaii. Do you like it? Am I good at it? I love body boarding and it was fun. The water was OK once you got used to it.

This is of me swimming laps at the View Ridge Swim Pool. I'm on the View Ridge Swim Team. It is hard work but it is still fun and it makes me a better swimmer too.

This is a picture of me and my brother posing for the camera at Greenlake. Uncle Graham was visiting too and I think he was the one taking the picture.

A Bug's Life

(This picture is for Aunt Molly.) I did, in fact, get a picture of the Bug's Life in the parade! It was very fun at Disneyland, and I had a good time, too. Yours Truly, Trevor

Jack On Fire

I was at Disneyland and this is a picture of Jack on top of the bad machine from The Incredibles movie. I saw him in a Pixar Parade - A Disney Pixar Parade at Disney's California Adventure. I went with my Grandma, Dad, Mom and brother. And my favorite ride was Soarin' Over California. The first day we got to Disneyland my Grandma bought us ice cream...me and my brother that is. And by the way, Jack's hair is on fire!
